COVID-19 Waiver

I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

I further acknowledge that Hackground has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and I acknowledge that my student will be advised to follow all safety precautions put in place by Hackground to minimize the spread of the virus.

I further acknowledge that Hackground can not guarantee that my student will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself, my student and others, including, but not limited to, Hackground staff, and other building (Hackground Center) staff and their families.

I voluntarily seek programs provided by Hackground and acknowledge that my student is increasing his/her/their risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that my student must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending sessions at Hackground as well as during competition.


To ensure the safety of Participant, other attendees, and Hackground employees, volunteers, and contractors, all participants will be required to represent at the time of on-site check-in or prior to entry to any event that they (i) are not currently experiencing symptoms of COVID 19 (ii) that to the best of their knowledge they do not have COVID 19 and have not had COVID 19 within two (2) week period prior to the event, and (iii) to the best of their knowledge, within the two (2) week period prior to the event, they have not been exposed to anyone who has COVID 19. Hackground reserves the right to bar entrance to any student or parent or Volunteer who cannot or will not respond affirmatively to the COVID screening questions asked by onsite mentor/volunteer or who exhibits symptoms of COVID 19. In addition, Students will be required to comply with all mandatory safety procedures while participating in any program and each of its associated activities. Hackground reserves the right to require the immediate removal of any participant who refuses to comply with the mandatory safety procedures.

Participant (and the Parent/Guardian of a Participant under 18 years of age) agrees to these requirements
